Preparation: 10 minutes

Cooking: 20 minutes

Serves 4

Ingredients :

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

⅛ teaspoon allspice

½ package frozen puff pastry, thawed

1 large egg, beaten

1 cup diced apple

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting

2 teaspoons granulated sugar

Directions :

1. In a medium bowl, combine the apple, brown sugar, lemon juice, flour, cinnamon, and allspice.
2. On a clean surface dusted lightly with flour, place the puff pastry sheet. Roll the dough with a rolling pin to smooth out the folds, seal any tears, and shape it into a square. The dough was divided into four
squares.

3. Place one-fourth of the apple mixture in the center of each puff pastry square and spread it evenly in a
triangle shape over half the pastry, leaving a 12-inch border around the edges. The pastry is folded
diagonally over the filling to create triangles. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal them. Place the turnovers evenly spaced in the baking dish.

4. Each turnover should have two or three small slits cut into the top. Egg wash the bread. Sugar granules are strewn evenly over the dish.

5. Place the baking dish in Rack Position 1, select Convection Bake, set the temperature to 350 degrees
Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius), and set the timer for 20 minutes.

6. Upon completion of cooking, remove the pan from the oven. The turnovers must be golden brown with a bubbling filling. Allow 10 minutes of cooling time before serving.
